Which of the 8 rules of Media Literacy is illustrated in the Beauty and Body Image article? Why and how

1. The media construct reality
 It is construct reality because it talks about how the body of women works in the way we look at it.
The way media sends out a message to us about the good and bad of a women's body which makes us think it is true, but in reality, its just a media at its worst, as always.


2. The article on advertising to children is a great example of media constructing reality (#2 rule of Media Literacy). Can you think of an example of media constructed reality aimed at teens? Tell me what it is and how it constructs reality.


The way media can change a teens view is put a lot of effort in the way teen thinks these days. Like for instance, you can tell about a celebrity's good and bad anyway you like and who's to tell you that your wrong? Lets just say nobody can do anything about it because no one knows the truth to the lie its just all the way you look at it. They can change your view from computer, magazine, and television 


3. The commercial implications (#4) of media literacy are illustrated in The Economics of Ethnicity link. Do you think most media does a good job of showing what your real life is like? The number of minority people you see daily, the kinds of problems you have in real life, the way those problems get solved - are these things that you see in TV shows, movies and advertising?

Commercial

So we did a commercial about media art class. This commercial is about what did we do all these years in our media art class and how we over come some of the problem. I like the commercial mostly because it is about our media art class. I did the voice recording and some of the recording of stephanie. We also did a PSA.

Super Bowl Ad

The ad i loved before is a ad about chicken. This ad shows a chicken being chase around a farm with a knife and the farmer attempt to cut it but failed really bad in a funny way.

PSA about smoking

Our PSA This past couple of weeks we have been doing a PSA about smoking. The PSA is about how bad smoking is to human health and what happened to our relatives. We made our PSA with Kirthi, she is our biggest help with the PSA. Our movie editor Nicky did all the video, picture, and editing. The guys from San Francisco Film Society are the one who came and thought up the idea about PSA. We had fun with the PSA because we get to pick our own PSA idea. I picked smoking because i want other people to know that smoking to bad for them.

I hope that people will look and listen to this PSA and think about smoking twice before they do it.

The blog of PSA

This week we are doing PSA. I will give out the names of who will do what and finish our PSA as soon as possible. The PSA is about smoking, and about how bad it is for your health. The audience is going to be teenage because young people start drinking early.

M.C Esher

The picture I made was a drawing similar to M.C Esher's relativity drawing it shows different perspective of the picture you make. The picture might look like it's upside down but if you were standing in it you will think differently. The experience I had was a strange one because when I made the picture it looks funny until I fix the problem and my teacher say its good. What I'm getting at is that I admire M.C Esher's art work.

Star Wars blog

The death star is a remote planet that have a manuel self-explosive setting that can blow up an entire planet. everything begin with death star when Darth Vader create it to make sure everyone will listen to what he says. The death star leads to princess Leia and how she got into the trouble of helping the rebel.

Princess Leia stole the plan from darth vader in order to counter the death star and have a way to stop it. She risked everything she got to bring the plan out and then she give the plan to a droid named R2D2 so darth vader can not find out where the plan has gone to.

Luke Skywalker, he is one of the main character that start out the star wars journey. Luke as a young guy always been good with Sandspeeder a type of speeder hat works on sand. He s the next generation of Jedi(a group of people who are user of a weapon call lightsaber)he got the force or power to save the world.
